What is Dandruff?

Dandruff is a white-colored dry or sticky scaly dead skin on the head or in the hair that falls off on the shoulders or clothes. Dandruff is seborrheic dermatitis which causes scaly skin to form on the scalp.

Causes of Dandruff

Dandruff can have many causes, such as dry skin, not cleaning often enough, excessive use of shampoos, psoriasis, eczema, sensitivity to hair care products, or a yeast-like fungus. Dry skin is the most common form of dandruff flaking reason. Along with this, there are many other reasons for being Russian. Home remedies for Dandruff

  1. Grind four spoons of poppy seeds in milk and apply them to the roots of the hair. Wash your head after half an hour. Use shampoo to wash. Wash hair like this twice a week.
2. Wash hair with curd twice a week. Curd is helpful in eradicating dandruff. 
3. Soak tur dal along with the peel in water at night. Grind it in the morning and apply it on the                  head. Wash your head after half an hour. Then comb through wet hair only.
4. Soak five spoons of ground gooseberry in half a cup of water at night, wash your head with this water in the morning.
5. Mix camphor in coconut oil and apply this oil thoroughly on hair and scalp.
6. Mix a little gram flour and curd in lemon and apply it on the scalp.
7. Apply egg paste on the scalp and leave it for half an hour, after that wash the head thoroughly.
8. Take some fenugreek seeds and soak them overnight. Grind them in the morning and apply their paste on the scalp.
9. Aloe vera gel is available in the market. Massage the head well with this gel and wash the head after an hour.
10. Massage the head well at night with mustard oil. At night, wrap a towel soaked in hot water on the head for some time and go to sleep. Wash the head the next day.
